According to the Houston Airport System, more than 4 million passengers are expected to pass through George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) during the month of December.
Yikes. And of course more people fly towards the end of this month.
Here are some suggestions to make air travel a little easier:
- Passengers should arrive at the airport early in order to avoid missing their specific flight
- Remain in close contact with their chosen airline in order to receive the latest information regarding potential changes to the flight’s itinerary.
- Check the current wait times for each security checkpoint at IAH and HOU by visiting fly2houston.com.
- TSA Policy for Liquids, Gels, and Aerosols (for carry-on luggage only)
• 3.4 ounce (100ml) bottle or less for all liquids, gels and aerosols; placed in a
• 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag to hold all small bottles;

- Don't travel with wrapped packages - a security officer may need to unwrap and inspect them
- Food items such as pies and cakes are permitted, but may require further inspection
- Snow globes that appear to contain less than 3.4 ounces (approximately tennis-ball size) will be permitted, provided it can fit in quart-sized bag with other liquids.
